How much does a web site cost

Each web site we undertake is costed individually and is dependant upon the clients exact requirements. The following information gives a ball park figure of how much a site will cost. Note that these prices are for guidance only. We will quote you an exact price once we have determined what your specific requirements are and before any work is started. Also included is a guide to hosting costs, for further hosting information, look here.

Our pricing policy is based upon the number of pages you require for your site. We prefer to price this way as it allows us to give you an exact price before work commences. However, if you would prefer to be billed using an hourly rate, this can be discussed during the quotation process.

Site Description Guide Build Cost* Guide Hosting Cost*
Single page site From £60 £20 per annum
5 page informational site From £380 From £6 per month
5 page contact site + email From £440 From £6 per month
Database driven dynamic site From £850 From £8 per month
* Note that the above guide prices are exclusive of VAT and VAT will be charged at the standard rate
  • HCRS Design and Consultancy will publish your newly developed site with your current hosting company (for example if you receive free web space with your ISP). A small charge may be made for this service and the exact cost will depend upon the complexity of any online form processing and/or integration work.
  • HCRS Design and Consultancy can also offer a maintenance and support contract which will allow you to request changes to your web site for a fixed cost. Please ask us for details.

We can take over maintenance of and enhancements to an existing site. We will need to spend some time analyzing your site for which we will make a charge. The amount we will charge is based upon the size and complexity of the site. We need to do this, as occasionally some sites are badly designed, poorly built and are not easily maintainable. In these circumstances, before we take on your site we may recommend that some or all of your site is rebuilt to bring it up to an acceptable standard. Once we are satisfied that we can take on your site, a maintenance contract will be negotiated in the same way as for a new site developed by us.
Note that if we do recommend any changes to your site this may cost more initially, but long term this will be to your benefit as maintenance will be faster and cheaper. You will also have a professionally built site which may load quicker and be less prone to errors
